Ethipia - Doyo

Our Ethiopian offering, comes to us from Jimma in the Mana District. The Jimma Farmers

Multi-Purpose Agricultural Cooperatives Union is a small producer organisation of over 212 co-

operatives, and the Doyo Co-operative is made up of several smallholders from the landscape

around Jimma. Cultivating heirloom varieties at high elevations, farmers in this area grow coffee

on small farms alongside food crops, and the combination of altitude, local varieties and careful

processing supports a clean and expressive cup profile. The washed process from Doyo

highlights the improvements in quality that have been made in Western Ethiopian coffee

processing.

Colombia - Wayuu

Coming to us from Southwestern Antioquia in Colombia, Wayuu is the backbone of Siruma, one

of the most prominent exporters of green coffee in Columbia. Named after the Wayuu people of

Colombia's La Guajira, one of the country's most resilient and culturally rich Indigenous

communities, this lot embodies the strength and rootedness that defines Colombian coffee

culture at its core. Agricultural practices in the region have been refined over generations,

combining traditional knowledge with an increased focus on quality and sustainability. The

region’s volcanic soils, mountainous slopes and moderate temperatures marks this region as

one of the productive and distinctive in Columbia.

Doyo and Wayuu work in harmony in your cup, with the light sweetness and florality of Ethiopia

being tempered by the bold sweetness and nuttiness of Columbia. The result is a perfect all

rounder, well suited to a filter coffee which highlights the fruiter notes of grapefruit and dried

apples, or as a flat white which delivers a nutty chocolatey cup with a rich caramel sweetness.
